The Singapore Myanmar Film Festival is now calling for entries!
Set to take place in November this year, the objective of the festival is to reveal works of quality to contribute to the evolution of motion picture arts, as well as to encourage development of the film industry between Singapore and Myanmar.
Films made between 31st March 2014 and 30th June 2015, that originate from Singapore and Myanmar Filmmakers and/or Filmmakers of Singapore and Myanmar origin, are eligible for submission to the festival.
There are 4 categories for submission:
Feature (30 min to 90 min)
Short (10 min to 30 min)
Animation (10 min to 90 min)
Documentary (10 to 90 min)
Films must not have been broadcasted on TV or screened in any cinema prior to the Festival. The films must also not be made available on the internet.
The festival will not accept any submissions promoting ethnic, racial, political, religious, and moral defamatory or otherwise messages, or those encouraging violence, prejudice and hatred.
The deadline for submission is 30th June 2015. 6 finalist works will be selected to screen at the festival in November 2015 and one overall winner will be awarded the grand prize based on audience votes.
