Kim Eui-suk has been appointed as chairman of the Korean Film Council. The appointment was announced by the Ministry of Culture today, which praised Kim as a reliable pair of hands for a troubled institution.
The ministry said it wants the organisation to build a fair and competitive environment and help the globalisation of Korean film and film talent. KOFIC is expected to relocate to Busan within the next two years and has begun the sale of property in Seoul.
