It’s been more than 10 years since Alaric Tay’s debut role in showbiz as ‘Seng’, Adrian Pang’s sidekick in the Glen Goei-directed movie Forever Fever. After numerous calefare and guest-starring roles in local TV, the 32-year-old is finally reaping results from his dedication and hard work over the past decade.

For someone who doggedly persevered and pushed through, Alaric admitted that it was tough to see “peers rise quickly above you, further and beyond, over the edge,” in an interview with xinmsn at the press conference for season four of The Noose.

“And I’m still stuck on first gear, second gear, and not moving along as fast as I’d like to be. Sometimes it can be quite disheartening and you just want to throw in the towel,” he conceded.

It’s a good thing the actor chose to press on and put up a good fight. His star is inarguably shining brighter these days thanks to his entertaining turn as Andre Chichak and a plethora of other funny impersonations on Ch5’s award-winning variety show, The Noose.
