Reading Time: < 1 minuteShah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan each received awards for best actor at Friday’s Zee Cine Awards, the first big Bollywood awards ceremony of the season.
Khan and director Karan Johar dominated the ceremony with multiple awards for My Name Is Khan, the story of a Muslim man’s uncomfortable travels in the US. Roshan’s acting award was designated a jury award and came for his performance in Guzaarish.
Best film prize went to Dabangg, an action-packed romance about a bent policeman. Vidya Balan received the best actress award for the role of a scheming seductress in Ishqiya. (Full awards list below.)
The ceremony was held at the Marina Bay Sands casino resort in Singapore and ran into the small hours of the morning.
