MALAYSIAN filmmaker Liew Seng Tat’s script has been selected for The Sundance Institute’s Screenwriters Lab.

In this workshop, some of the biggest names in the American film industry will tutor these writers cum filmmakers to help enhance their scripts.

Getting into the Screenwriters Lab is very competitive and only the best get selected. Liew’s script for a Malay film titled In What City Does It Live? is among the 12 chosen by the Sundance Institute, and he is the only participant from the East.

This also marks the first time a Malaysian script has been chosen. Other participants are mainly from the US with one from Palestine and another from Israel.
