Bhansali: Not Confident of Making a Comedy Film

Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who has mastered the art of presenting intense and dark stories on celluloid, says he is not sure whether he will ever try his hands on comedy.

“I think it is difficult to make a full-fledged comedy film. I don’t know will I ever make it. I never plan about my movies..I cannot say what will be my next,” Bhansali said.

The 47-year-old director has dealt with dark subjects in his films like “˜Khamoshi’, which was about a deaf and mute couple; “˜Devdas’ was about a dejected lover; “˜Black’, showed the trials and tribulations of a blind, deaf and mute girl.

“Euthanasia is a subject that has never been handled in Indian cinema before. It is a very important issue. With big stars we made an entertaining film that still talks about the sensitive issue. We are not propagating it…we are not taking sides,” the director said.
