BlueCat is calling for entries for their annual screenplay competition.  Every entry submitted to BlueCat will receive a written analysis of their work.

This year, BlueCat has created two new awards for international screenwriters, expanded their early analysis and resubmission programs and brought back their popular title contest to further their support and find new writers.

  • The Winner receives $10,000, with four finalists receiving $1500 each.
  • The best screenplay from the UK will be awarded the Cordelia Award and will receive $2500.
  • The best screenplay outside the USA, Canada and the UK will be awarded the Joplin Award and will receive $2500.
  • The screenplay with the best title submitted by January 4th, as voted by the public, will receive $1000.

The regular deadline for this competition is March 1st with an entry fee of $50, while the final deadline of April 1st has an entry fee of $60.

Any screenplay submitted early and having received our early analysis can be resubmitted by April 1, 2010 for the reduced fee of $35.

Scripts must be between 80-125 pages. Check the complete rules and FAQ to ensure your submission is eligible.
