Here’s a quick summary of Apple‘s September offerings, just in case you’ve missed them. This is of course limited to downloads relating to video/film production, instead of the snazzy new iPods they’ve just rolled out in seemingly every colour possible. Fret not if you are running on Windows instead of OSX as all of these are also available for the Windows users.

2. QuickTime 7.5.5
Integrating the new ProRes QuickTime Decoder, the latest version of QuickTime can now playback even more formats, plus tweak your playback settings to your delight. Brightness, colour, contrast and tint can all be tweaked — even your playback speed can be adjusted from 1/2x to 3x normal speed.

3. Voltaic HD 1.4.4
The Voltaic HD converts AVCHD (mts & m2ts) files into Quicktime format for easy viewing. This means you can plug in your camera, quickly copy out the raw files from your camera card and then re-use it whilst Voltaic transcode the footages. It is a Universal binary so both your PowerPC and Intel Macs can use it.
