Sinema Incubator Programme1 min readReading Time: 2 minutes
The Sinema Incubator Programme is an innovative concept conceived in collaboration with Panasonic System Asia and Apple, and supported by Creative Community Singapore with the objective of helping new and emerging filmmakers improve their filmmaking skills.
The programme aspires to propel the “Made-in-Singapore” movement swiftly by identifying potential existing scripts and projects that may just be one step away from garnering significant attention in both the local and international circuit.
Unlike any other incubation programme, the Sinema Incubator Programme’s target is for the production of 4 feature films, 20 short films,10 music videos and 12 FMPs (forty-minute programmes). Open to all Singaporeans and Permanent Residents, there will be 4 call-for-entries in the course of the programme’s 2-year run.
Focused on ideas with a social skew, selected applicants will have the opportunity to be under the mentorship of a list of established directors, producers and media practitioners and also the support of production facilities available at Sinema Old School, such as high-definition camera equipment provided by Panasonic and editing suites contributed by Apple.
The first call-for-entry is now open for:
• 2 narrative feature films – at least 80 minutes
• 3 documentary FMPs (forty-minute programmes) – maximum of 42 minutes
• 5 documentary short films – maximum of 20 minutes
The closing date is 22 January 2008.
Please email any queries and all completed submission forms and proposals to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are also looking for local bands interested to have their very own music video made. This is in collaboration with the 5 music videos which will be produced in the later half of 2008. Interested parties please email email@example.com.
There will be a second call-for-entry in May 2008:
