As part of the 20th Singapore International Film festival, The substation is showing the Singapore shorts finalists on 30th April 2007(which is today) at The Substation Theatre at 8.00pm.

Blowjob
A tribute to Andy Warhol’s 1963 film of the same title.

Conversation(Tan Xin)
Kang, an elderly man who stays alone in an old and worn-out, one-room flat, writes to his son everyday but never gets a reply. Recovering from a stroke, he is assigned a young nurse named Xin who takes care of him. One morning when Kang receives his son’s letter from Xin, his life takes a turn.

A man dissatisfied with a white cube for a head, decides to give it up immediately for a fanciful one in the name of self-improvement, only to find himself unwillingly dealing with the consequence. Using stop-motion animation, this short tale brings across the message that while change is easy, changing back is harder.
