Reading Time: < 1 minuteThe 24th Singapore International Film Festival (SIFF) is honouring the late Jim Henson, creator of the iconic Muppets, on 24th September, in a special four-documentary screening exploring the life and works of the American puppeteer.
Kicking off the celebrations on Saturday – the day of what would have been Henson’s 75th birthday – is Muppet History 101, which examines the origins of the Muppets phenomenon through rarely seen footage.
Following the screening, Jim Henson’s long time publicist Arthur Novell will talk with TV ASIA Plus’ Marc Checkley about his experience working with Henson for more than a decade, and will also answer questions from the public on anything “˜Muppet’.
The other three films – Commercials and Experiments, Muppet Fairytales and Muppet Music Moments – will screen at 1.30pm, 7.30pm and 9.30pm respectively.
