CJ, Lionsgate pair up for 3-D dance movie1 min read
Reading Time: < 1 minuteSouth Korean recording artist BoA (real name Kwon Boa) will co-star in Cobu 3D, a US-set dance movie that is being backed by CJ Entertainment.
Duane Adler (writer of Save The Last Dance and Step Up) will direct the project from his own script.
Production is by Robert Cort of Cort Productions alongside Lee Soo Man, Eric Hetzel and Patricia Chun. “We are producing and investing in Cobu 3D with SM and Cort Production,” CJ’s Mike Suh told Film Business Asia. SM Entertainment is BoA’s talent management representative and one of Korea’s most powerful entertainment firms.
Lionsgate International will handle sales in territories outside the trio of Korea, Japan and China that will go to CJ.
