Homegrown feature film Sandcastle has been selected to screen at the London Film Festival (13-28 October). This year’s line up is rich in South and East Asian features.

One of the highlights will be a gala screening of Cannes Palm d’Or winner Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives, a Thai film directed by acclaimed filmmaker Apichatpong Weerasethakul. There will be other prominent screenings of Miike Takashi’s 13 Assassins, John Sayles’ Philippines-set Amigo, Lee Chang Dong’s Poetry, Julian Schnabel’s Miral and Indian film Dhobi Ghat.

Majority of the Asian films are in the World Cinema section, and the complete line up can be viewed here.
