“Making a film is like getting married. You have to be fully committed,” Filipino director Milo Sogueco told the press in China after his film, Sanglaan, won an award at the recently concluded Shanghai International Film Festival. In an interview with Inquirer Entertainment, Sanglaan writer and producer Gay Ace Domingo quoted the Certificate of Merit that the film received from the SIFF. The late film director Yasmin Ahmad’s TV commercial Funeral has received two Gold Lion awards at the 57th International Advertising Festival in Cannes, France.
