Shaw Theatres Caps Off The Year With Three Nail-Biting Asian Thrillers1 min read

Three anticipated thrillers will be making their way to Shaw theatres in the months of November and December: Noir spy thriller Saturday Fiction, action thriller Railway Heroes and crime thriller G Storm.


Saturday Fiction 《兰心大剧院》

Release date: 18 November

Starring Gong Li and Mark Chao, Saturday Fiction follows a famous actress who returns to war-stricken Shanghai on a mission to relay intelligence back to the Allied Forces. At the same time, she is to act in a play directed by a former lover. Will conflicting circumstances arise to pose danger to her?

Railway Heroes 《铁道英雄》

Release date: 2 December

The action thriller highlights how a magnificent team of “railway heroes” fights fervently through ice and snow in the Shandong Province during the Second Sino-Japanese War, to drive out Japanese invaders and defend their homeland.

G Storm《G风暴》

Release date: 31 December

Another addition to the Storm 《风暴》 series, G Storm sets us on another adventure with ICAC investigators Luk and Ching to uncover and fight corruption. This time, it leads them to a much bigger and serious problem – human trafficking. The crime thriller stars Louis Koo, Julian Cheung, Kevin Cheng, Jessica Hsuan.
