Film lovers will be in for a treat this August with the fourth edition of Singapore International Film Festival’s (SGIFF) Moonlight Cinema — the first-ever edition organised outside of the festival period. Held on 20 and 22 August 2021, audiences will enjoy free film screenings of Royston Tan’s 3688, Tan Pin Pin’s Singapore GaGa and Ng Xi Jie’s Singapore Minstrel.

Screenings will be held at 7.30pm on 20 August 2021, 5pm and 7.30pm on 22 August 2021 at the Flower Field Hall, Gardens by the Bay. All films are rated PG. Admission is free — registration open on 29 July 2021 at www.sgiff.com/moonlightcinema.

The Moonlight Cinema is part of SGIFF’s efforts to foster deeper film appreciation in Singapore and looks to celebrate storytelling through film. The initiative is a platform to encourage local audiences to expand their horizon to different types of cinema and illustrates SGIFF’s commitment to produce inclusive programmes to connect communities and audiences of all ages through the magic of cinema.
