Looking to better enrich your commutes, or want a relaxing listen to cap off a busy day? The podcasts Radio DDC and the Moving Art series, both launched by the National Library Board (NLB) and now streaming on Spotify and Apple Podcasts, might just be what you are looking for!

Radio DDC is home to fascinating conversations and stories unearthed from the Library’s collections. Its first four-part series dives into Singapore’s musical history. Featuring highlights from MusicSG and guests from the industry, Radio DDC covers a broad range of topics from the campaign jingles Singaporeans have grown to love, to the lesser-known history of Singapore’s contributions to early Hong Kong films.

Helmed by librarians from library@esplanade, each episode of Moving Art sheds light on aspects of film, music, theatre, dance. The podcast’s first mini-series is hosted by film librarian Melissa Kawasoe as she takes listeners on an engaging film journey filled with foley effects and background music akin to a radio drama. The four-part mini-series features topics such as horror films and the beloved works of Hayao Miyazaki.
