Interactive Film Takes the Cancelled Songkran Festival Online with TikTok Thailand1 min read
Reading Time: < 1 minuteWith Songkran, Thailand’s world-famous water-splashing festival, cancelled for the second year in a row, TikTok Thailand launched Songkran Stranger to ensure the nation wasn’t left dry during the year’s biggest festivities.
TikTok, the number one short-video platform in 2020 globally, released its first-ever interactive film to coincide with the April festival. Titled Songkran Stranger, the film includes superstar actor Mario Maurer and top model ‘Linn’ Mashannoad Suvalmas.
The interactive film follows Linn, a woman who gets dumped every Songkran, because she turns into a different person every time she gets splashed with water. That is until she meets the bartender, Mario, who is the only man willing to date her despite her strange condition.
