Alejandro Jodorowsky is 91 years old…and he’s still dreaming. The mind behind movies like El Topo and The Holy Mountain has not settled on old age but continued to push its limits. In a recent interview with Indiewire, Jodorowsky talked about where his life is headed now. 

Being 91, Jodorowsky has seen it all. But we are living in unprecedented times now that we’re in the middle of a pandemic. When asked about going to the movies after this outbreak, Jodorowsky has an interesting quote. 

“We need to adapt ourselves to a new way of feeling life, and that is interesting. Art will change. The goal of movies is to make business. Now, people are waiting for something more, in order to have the joy of life. We cannot continue to see Supermans and violence. We’ll need to discover how beautiful the human being is, so beautiful it is to be alive.”
