Singapore-Chinese actor Chin Han (Marco Polo, The Dark Knight) has joined the cast of Independence Day 2, which is now shooting in New Mexico.

The news was announced by director Roland Emmerich on Tuesday (June 2) via a message on his personal Twitter account.

The Twentieth Century Fox film is set for release on June 24, 2016.
