Singapore Series is an initiative by Lens Rebel, a collective of local independent filmmakers who offer an alternative to the mainstream.
Lens Rebels is providing the entire film budget and most of the production equipment together with a cinematographic know-how.
Expert casting and directing from Method Metropolis and production skills from Wave Films will serve as support to bring the short film script to fruition.
The aim is to shoot a new short film every 2 months.
Writers will have a chance to explore themes that are not commonly seen on Singapore screens, and actors will have the platform to showcase your best acting skills on film.
Neither the production team nor the writers and actors are getting paid, and all monies budgeted are for production expenses only.
The entire series produced will be submitted to festivals and as a secondary option, to be released via pay-per-view-online.
Down the line, all monies earned from the series, if any, are for the production of a future series.
