Cannes 2015: Asian films in competition for the Palme d’Or1 min read

Today marks the first day of the 68th annual Cannes Film Festival and while the gowns on the red carpet will no doubt have us hooked to the screens, the cinematic works of art will similarly have us reeling in excitement.

In its entirety, the festival will showcase some 53 films in the official selection, including competition and out of competition screenings. However, the one award that year after year has us intrigued is the coveted Palme d’Or title, given to the one film that ticks all the right boxes for the jury.
