The Feature Film Jury of the recently wrapped up 2011 Fantasia Film Festival gave two prizes to the Korean drama The Unjust.

The Best Screenplay award went to Park Hoon-jung, and the Best Actor award went jointly to the two stars of the film: Hwang Jeong-min and Ryoo Seung-beom, (sometimes spelled Ryoo Seung-bum) Ryoo Seung-beom is the brother of the director of the Unjust, Ryoo Seung-wan.

Each of the Ryoos recorded a thank-you video for these awards. The videos are on the web site of CinéAsie, whose founder Mi-Jeong Lee is also a programmer at Fantasia. The videos don’t have subtitles, but CinéAsie has provided transcripts in English and French. Director Ryoo Seung-wan came to Fantasia to present the Unjust, but he returned to Korea before the awards were handed out.
