“The Great Mystery” is an inspiring, entertaining and deeply touching feature documentary. Until human civilization can evolve to bridging the divisions between the religions and coming to greater unity we can never hope to have peace in our world.
This movie shows the true depth of connection between all faith traditions and is a welcome breath of reality that goes beyond the sensationalistic news shows, which primarily depict radical religionists, thereby creating misunderstanding, fear and conflict. “The Great Mystery” shows the truth, that we of different faiths share much, much more than we may as yet realize.
The movie follows one woman as she travels across western America asking universal questions. Why are we here? Who is God? Will there ever be peace?
Her journey takes her to encounters with one of the first woman Rabbis, The Staff Keeper of The Lakota Nation, an African American Christian businessman, a Tibetan Buddhist Monk, Hindu Worshippers, an Islamic Cleric, a famous religious scholar, Muslim teenagers, and a salty old cowboy.
