The International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) has just revealed it’s list of selected films for it’s premiere in Netherlands in January 2019. A Million Years by first-time director Danech San is one of the films selected under the Voices Short segment. The film was produced as part of the Echoes from Tomorrow project under the Cambodian film production company, Anti-Archive.

A Million Years is this year’s winner of the Best Southeast Asian Short Film in the 29th SGIFF and has gone on to be selected as one of the short films in IFFR 2019! It is one of the few Southeast Asian films selected for the festival, amongst The Mental Traveller by Taiki Sakpisit and No History in a Room Filled With People With Funny Names 5 by Korakrit Arunanondchai, both from Thailand.

The European premiere of A Million Years will take place just over a year since the shooting on the film wrapped in Kampot, Cambodia. Congratulations to Danech San and the team for this exciting journey!
