It’s Official: Harry Potter Will Screen Before Ramadan
Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the final installment of the Harry Potter movie series will be screened in Indonesia by the end of next week, cinema officials announced on Saturday night.
“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2,” “Transformers 3” and “Kung Fu Panda 2” have all been through the censors, said Djonny Sjafruddin, head of the Indonesian Cinema Companies Union (GPBSI) in a late night press conference.
“We just need to make the copies to distribute,” he said, adding that 99 copies needed to be made in order to screen Harry Potter simultaneously across the nation.
Assuming no technical difficulties or machine damage, Djonny said Indonesian fans would definitely be able to watch the wizard boy on the big screen before Ramadan. He declined to give a definite day.
“Transformers 3” would likely be screened 10 days later, he added.
