American stand-up comedian Zach Galifianakis talks to DNA about Indian cinema and more.

Have you seen any Indian film? What is your opinion about films made in India?
Oh yes..I have seen a few. But are you gonna ask me to name them? Boy, they are real tongue twisters. All I can say in Hindi is Namaste! Indian films look like so much fun.

Is there an Indian actor that you are fond of?
I like that guy with straight hair and brown eyes…I can’t get the name.

Can you talk about your character for this and why you think you were right for this role versus one of the others?
I play a character, Alan, who’s a well intentioned moron who is kind of trapped in adolescence. He wants friends but can’t get any adult friends really

Do you think the song and dance routine Indian films have, move them away from reality?
I don’t think so. Why do you have to make real movies? It’s all about making the audiences happy at the end of the day…be it the real way or unreal way.
