Kaidhi goes to Malaysia1 min read

Following Singayil Gurushetram, which is claimed to be the first Tamil film made in Singapore, here comes news of another Tamil film that’s being made in Malaysia. The film in question is Kaidhi, which is getting ready for release soon.

A source close to the film’s unit says, “Kaidhi, which features Malaysian Tamils in the lead, is being shot entirely in Malaysia.

While Parameshwaran (of Lootty, Vanakkam Thalaiva and Three Roses fame) is both producing and writing the script for the film, leading Malaysian actors Gandhi Pen, Yagu, Valli and Shaamu are playing the leads. Varadarajan (who has acted in several films including Vijay’s Maanbumigu Maanavan) plays the villain in the film, which is being directed by Seenu, a Malaysian.”

The source adds, “Recently, a song featuring Nagu (of Jingi Jingi… fame) and Varadarajan was shot near Namakkal. The song, Vetthala Vetthala…, has been composed by Malaysian composer Shaman.
