Shorey: Indian animation needs to move beyond mythology

India has a huge market for animation films but the homegrown industry has to move beyond mythological themes, says talented actor Ranvir Shorey, who has just given the voiceover for the Hindi version of the 3D Hollywood film ‘RIO’.

‘India has a huge market for animation films, but is yet unexplored. Hollywood has a festival out of every release of the animation film that they do.

It’s like a carnival for the grown-ups and for the kids,’ Ranvir told IANS in an interview.

‘I don’t think we have managed that in the Indian film industry as yet,’ he added.
