This year’s Busan International Film Festival will kick off on Oct. 6 and runs for nine days, the festival’s organizer announced Thursday.

The opening ceremony for Busan, which recently revised its official English name from Pusan in line with the country’s romanization system, will take place at the Busan Cinema Center, to be completed in September.

The Asian Film Market previously held in Haeundae will be moving to the Busan Exhibition & Convention Center at Centum City this year. The market starts on 10th and runs through 13th.

Along with the change to the festival name, Pusan Promotion Plan (PPP), a project market, has also changed its name to Asian Project Market. The festival’s official will move to www.biff.kr, although the earlier website, www.piff.org will forward to the new address.
