This year’s Busan International Film Festival will kick off on Oct. 6 and runs for nine days, the festival’s organizer announced Thursday.

The opening ceremony for Busan, which recently revised its official English name from Pusan in line with the country’s romanization system, will take place at the Busan Cinema Center, to be completed in September.
