Metro Manila fest hails record edition1 min read
Reading Time: < 1 minuteBox office takings hit a record high of P530 million at the annual Metro Manila Film Festival, which wrapped earlier this week (25 Dec 25 2010 to 7 January 2011).
Takings climbed 21% from 2009-10’s P437 million, officials said.
The best selling film was Si Agimat at si Enteng Kabisote, an action fantasy starring Vic Sotto and Senator Ramon “˜Bong’ Revilla Jr, which accounted for P159 million of the total.
Agimat was produced by Imus Productions and co-produced by OctoArts Films, GMA Films, APT Entertainment and M-Zet Productions.
