Rebecca Lim edges out Jeanette Aw at ATA 2010

24-year-old Singaporean actress Rebecca Lim bag the Best Actress Award at Asian Television Awards 2010

Yet barely a week ago, she brought home the Elle Awards 2010 Actress of the Year award for her role as Susie Woon in Channel 5’s Fighting Spiders.

No more a fresh face ingénue, Rebecca outdid fellow nominees like Taiwanese actresses Yang Gui-Mei, Pan Li-Li, Jeanette Aw, Janice Koh, Michelle Chia, and Quan Yi Fong – winning a nod for her turn as the budding lawyer, Wendy Lim, in Channel 5’s The Pupil.

It was a bountiful night for MediaCorp’s Channel 5 as it raked in awards for the Best Music Programme with Singapore Idol 2009 (Final) and Best Comedy Programme for The Noose 3. Apart from Rebecca’s Best Actress win, fellow actor from The Pupil, Lim Kay Tong, also brought home the award for Best Drama Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role.
