National Youth Council Invites Nominations for SYA

The Singapore Youth Award (SYA) is the highest national youth accolade conferred upon youths in Singapore who have excelled in their fields of endeavour and have contributed significantly to the community in Singapore.

SYA seeks to acknowledge inspiring young achievers with the drive and commitment to look beyond themselves and to strive for personal excellence.

The National Youth Council invites private organisations, public institutions and members of the public to nominate deserving individuals or teams in the following award categories for SYA 2011:
(a) Arts & Culture;
(b) Community and Youth Services;
(c) Entrepreneurship;
(d) Science and Technology; and
(e) Sports and Adventure.

Nominations can now be made online at the SYA website: www.sya.sg

The 2010 Awardees include Mr Royston Tan (Arts & Culture), Mr Leonard Tan (Entrepreneurship), Dr Loh Yuin Han (Science & Technology), Ms Yip Pin Xiu (Sports & Adventure).

The Medal of Commendation was awarded to Dr Ng Huck Hui (Science & Technology).
