The Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy (KCA), in collaboration with the Federation of Film Societies of India (FFSI), is holding its first State-wide international film festival till November 14.

Planned with a low budget and entirely on DVD format, the festival will showcase 28 films from all over the world in the City.

The festival will screen movies like, The Bicycle Thief, an Italian film directed by Vittorio de Sica; A Butterfly In The Wind, a film made in Iran by director Abbas Rafaei, I Can’t Live Without You, a film made by Taiwanese director Leon Dai.

The festival is designed to promote film culture in the remote areas of the State. After Bangalore, it will make its way to places like Bidar, Shimoga, Dharwad and Mangalore.
