Raaga Astro Awards 2010 lauded for its fame and quality1 min read
Reading Time: < 1 minuteIT WAS a grand celebration at the Raaga Astro Awards 2010 as members from the music and film fraternity were lauded for their efforts to enhance the local Tamil entertainment industry.
This year’s awards saw nominations for both music and films as opposed to the inaugural awards last year held for the music industry alone.
The organisers decided to use this as a platform to raise funds for three Tamil pre-schools in the country. Tickets for the show were sold at RM10 and additional donations from private organisations were also collected.
Actor of the Year award winner Haridass, for his movie Yantra, said many people took the movies too seriously. “They should always remember that movies are only a form of escapism. Parents should always guide their children as well,” he added.
