Taiwan’s film industry ready to make a splash

From the adventures of a peeping Tom to Chinese martial arts action to the comical yet touching tale of a blind man and his niece, the Taiwanese film industry is posed to tickle funny bones and jerk tears with 15 new films to be released in the next six months.

The wave of new movies signifies the once-waning Taiwanese motion film sector is reviving on a steady and upward pace, Government Information Office Minister Johnny Chiang said at a press conference on Wednesday.
