South Korea to offer production rebates

The South Korean government is to introduce financial incentives for foreign films that shoot in the country.

The move was announced yesterday as part of a wider government financial statement that also sees the Ministry of Culture budget increase by 6.2% from ?3.17 trillion ($2.78 billion) to ?3.37 trillion ($2.95 billion). That makes the culture budget 1.09% of total central government spend, its highest ever level.
