Reading Time: < 1 minuteCelestial Pictures, the Hong Kong-based company founded around the Shaw Brothers library, is exploring a range of initiatives to update and expand the company’s range of businesses.
Ross Pollack, who has slashed the headcount since joining as CEO last year, confirmed plans to launch an HD channel in 2011. That would be Celestial’s fifth TV channel after the existing three Chinese movie channels and a general entertainment channel.
Speaking at the Asia Media Summit on Tuesday in Hong Kong, Pollack said the company is looking at ways of refreshing and reviving the library.
