Dabangg, the Salman Khan-starring action film, appears to have broken all time box office records in India in its opening weekend. But analysts are unsure if its final global total will stay ahead of 3 Idiots.
In comparison late 2009-2010 release, 3 Idiots scored INR380 million ($8.21 million) in its opening weekend in India and went on to achieve INR3.23 billion ($69.7 million) cumulative gross in India and approx $15.5 million from overseas markets.
