This July, Sinema Old School will be screening ROULETTE CITY, a film by Singaporean actor/director Thomas Lim.

ROULETTE CITY, shot entirely in Macau, tells the story of a Mainland Chinese man, Tak, who crosses over to Macau hoping to strike it rich at the casinos. Once there, he becomes involved in a plot with his old lover, Wynnie, to get information from a local policeman, Kin.

Tak befriends Kin’s sister, Armanda, hoping to get close to him, but unexpectedly starts falling for her.

Thomas moved to Macau in 2008 with the sole purpose of making a feature film. With limited resources, Thomas had to take on multiple positions during the production of ROULETTE CITY. He was the director, writer, producer, actor and co-editor of the film, which gathered more than 20 media interviews in Macau in 2009 alone.

ROULETTE CITY will be screening at Sinema Old School from 17th July. Thomas Lim will be present at the 17th July screening to conduct a Q&A session after the film.

Tickets are priced at $10* each. To book tickets, visit tix.sinema.sg or simply come down to our box office.
