Open Call for Short Films!

With the recent hype surrounding Singapore women’s advocacy group AWARE, there has been a surge in interest with opinions coming forth on every side of the issue. One of Sinema’s mandates promotes socially impactful films and the use of films as a medium for change.

Sinema is facilitating an open platform for honest dialogue and we invite you to submit a 5-10 minute short film on what women’s issues mean to you. Regardless of which side your opinion falls over recent events, we want to hear your voice. There will be a screening of the selected films, followed by a dialogue session with the filmmakers and general public.

Selected films will also be showcased during Sinema’s Social Film Festival in September 2009.
