Project: SlingSHORT

Sinema April 22, 2009 Events No Comments

PROJECT: slingSHORT is an ongoing series of Singapore short films which will occur annually. The selection of short films for each series comes from an ensemble of up and coming Singapore short filmmakers. A different Singapore short filmmaker will curate each screening. The outgoing curator will select the next curator from one of the filmmakers from the current screening.

sling webpic Project: SlingSHORTEach PROJECT: slingSHORT screening will also act as a launch platform for at least two complete unknown Singaporean short filmmakers, one based in the UK (where possible) and the other from Singapore.

As PROJECT: slingSHORT is a non-profit event, we depend on kind support from our sponsors. We intend to donate all proceeds from PROJECT: slingSHORT to a charity (which will be determined by either the theme of the screening or the association of our supporters).

Sinema will be hosting Project: slingSHORT come the 2nd of May 2009, 8.00-10.00pm. Tickets will be $15 each. All proceeds will be donated to projectION, a social initiative in collaboration with Sinema Academy of Motion Pictures.

Already having given us Fire of Conscience earlier this year, it seems that there is [...]
