Scriptwriting workshop @ Objectifs

By Sinema, Published on March 4th, 2007

Ready to write your first feature-length script? Come and learn from American director David Schmoeller in an intensive scriptwriting workshop designed to help students move from writing short films to developing feature-length film scripts.

Schmoeller’s short film The Spider Will Kill You was nominated for a Student Academy Award and evolved into the feature-length cult favourite Tourist Trap. His workshop will cover story structure, provide reference scripts, and round off with the topics of copyright and festivals. Exercises and examples will draw from indie films such as Napoleon Dynamite, which also started out as a short film Peluca.

The workshop costs $40 and will be held at Objectifs (12A Liang Seah Street) on Saturday, March 10, 1:00 – 4:00 pm. Register through email (info@objectifs.com.sg) or call 6339 3068.
