Diminishing Memories & Singapore Standard Time @ Sinema at Timbré

Sinema presents its second bimonthly screening of Singapore films at Timbré at the Substation. The doublebill features two documentaries that received good responses at Cine.SG in October:

  • Diminishing Memories by Eng Yee Peng: a personal story of growing up and moving away from the village of Lim Chu Kang, as told through interviews with family members, former neighbours and a former Member of Parliament, and narrated by Yee Peng herself.
  • Singapore Standard Time by Joycelyn Khoo and Serene Ng: everything in Singapore happens chop-chop in double-fast time — what impact does that have on the kind of society we’re living in?

The screening is on Tuesday, December 12 at 7 pm at Timbré in The Substation Garden (45 Armenian Street). There’s no cover charge, but there’s a one drink minimum.

A portion of the night’s F&B proceeds will go to the filmmakers and Sinema, so come and support Singapore film!
