Event: Film as Culture vs. Film as Industry @ The Substation Theatre

As part of The Substation Moving Images’ ongoing A Season of Australian Cinema, there will be a conversation on national cinema with Dr Vincent O’Donnell and Dr Kenneth Paul Tan: “Film as Culture vs Film as Industry”.

Reference films include In Which We Serve (Noel Coward, 1942) , Crocodile Dundee (Peter Faiman, 1986), The Searchers (John Ford, 1956), I Not Stupid (Jack Neo, 2002) and Mad Max (George Miller, 1979). Dr Vincent O’Donnell has worked in the Australian film industry since the 1970s, while Dr Kenneth Paul Tan is the Chair of the Asian Film Archive‘s Board of Directors.
