In a nation where eating has been made illegal, serum injections are now the only legalised mode of sustenance to ensure the efficient conduct of the human population. Working as an administrative officer within a serum industrial establishment, Sam is haunted by memories of his food-filled childhood. He becomes increasingly intrigued by the arrival of Cherry, the enigmatic foreigner to Serum City who awakens in Sam the thrills of temptation with her seeming lack of regard for the local anti-consumption laws.
