Shnit International Shortfilmfestival 2011 was first screened at Cathay Cineleisure from 7 – 9 October 2011. This screening is the award winning films voted by the audience worldwide.

Laila and Aksel, a couple in their late twenties, relax at a beach in the Trondheim’s fjord during a sunny day. Then Halvard, one of Laila’s old classmates, shows up unexpectedly. They haven’t seen each other since their schooldays but Halvard has some vivid memories to share with Laila.

Walter lives together with his wife Helga on his farm in the North of Germany; they don’t have a lot to say to each other anymore. When Walter is cutting the hay, he hears in the radio that a gigantic asteroid is racing towards the earth and that there’s no hope for saving the world anymore. As he doesn’t know how to tell his wife, he just hides those news from her.
