VETERAN actor Rosyam Nor will soon be seen in the challenging role of a sepak takraw coach who goes all out to ensure that his team wins the world title. The 44-year-old hopes the movie, Libas, will help make the game more popular among the younger generation in Malaysia.

“Sepak takraw is slowly losing its popularity among the youth today,” laments Rosyam, adding that they are more interested in playing trendy games like squash and golf.

Libas, directed by Jurey Latif, will be released nationwide this Thursday. The movie also stars Scha Al-Yahya, Johan Raja Lawak and Fadzly Kamarulzaman.

With Rosyam in the lead role, one can expect the film to showcase some quality performances as he is known for his acting. After all, he has won more than 40 awards throughout his career. During filming, Rosyam suffered an injury to his shoulder for which he required surgery. The fact that he was injured indicates that the stunts in the film are challenging and probably even awesome.
