Singapore’s First iPhone Film Festival has officially been announced, calling on individuals from all backgrounds and walks of life to submit short films shot with iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. Submission deadline is 1st December 2011, results by 15th December and screenings will begin 26th December. Prizes include iPhone 5 (first prize), iPad (second prize), and Owle Bubo (third prize).

Submissions are to be less than 3 minutes in length, can be of any genre or style, visualizing any aspect using iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.

The iPhone Film Festival was started by a filmmaker for other filmmakers. There are thousands of us, talented artist that don’t have the resources that major film companies have to create a film. However, we do have our talent and most importantly we have our creative instincts. This festival is launched to give artist an avenue to showoff their gifts to the world by simply using their talents, creativity, and their iPhone.

All entries will be judged for creativity, quality, and originality by a diverse jury comprised of film industry professionals and academicians. Finalists will be invited to attend a special awards ceremony during which the first, second, and third place winners will be announced before a live audience.

Organized by DS Media , Singapore’s First iPhone Film Festival is an online film festival that promotes film making and will receive submissions from all over the world.
