Over 100 entries for 8th Singapore Short Cuts1 min read

Singapore – More than 100 short films were submitted for selection to the 8th Singapore Short Cuts, which will be held over two weekends on 6 and 7 August, and 13 and 14 August at the National Museum of Singapore.

19 shorts have been shortlisted to be screened at the programme, the brainchild of the National Museum of Singapore Cinémathèque and co-presented with The Substation Moving Images.

The programme is a platform for local filmmakers to showcase their new works, featuring a wide variety of homegrown short films from documentaries to animation and experimental work.

Among the films that will be screened include shorts by local veteran film luminaries such as Tan Pin Pin”˜s The Impossibility of Knowing, which premiered at the Singapore Biennale this year, Eva Tang”˜s award winning Solitary Moon and Anthony Chen”˜s latest short film, Lighthouse.
